HATS OFF TO TOWN

A makeshift Palace team lost in dire fashion as the visitors dominated. After a terrible first half the Eagles were very fortunate to only be 2 down after Carl Griffiths's brace, Luton missing a 'hatful' of chances with Kevin Nicholls and Adrian Forbes hitting the crossbar and post respectively.

Palace played much better in second half, but had to play for pride when Forbes hit a third against the run of play and then late on Steve Howard humiliated their hosts with a fine individual goal. Mark Tyrrell came closest on 2 second half occasions but missed the target for Palace.
